DESCRIPTION
After a brief introduction to the intaglio and letterpress printing presses in the Workshop (see the Presses section), each participant will learn how to ink both a woodcut and an intaglio plate (drypoint, etching, aquatint, mezzotint), and then proceed with the printing process.
MATERIALS
Pencils, sketch paper, carbon paper, copper or zinc plate, rocker, scraper and burnisher, heating plate, intaglio ink, spatula, tarlatan cloth, tissue paper, printing paper, intaglio press, plank grain woodblock, sandpaper, acrylic, drypoint needle, wide brush, markers, gouge, newspaper,
